IPL 2022 Retention: Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli shares heartfelt message after RCB retain him
Royal Challengers Bangalore has retained three players including Virat Kohli for IPL 2022. Apart from Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Siraj have been retained. Virat Kohli gave a message to the fans after he was retained by RCB. He said that when he was approached by the franchise for the next three seasons, he had no second thoughts. India’s Test and ODI captain has been a part of RCB in the IPL since its inception.
RCB has released its official Twitter Shared a video from the account. In this video, Kohli said, ‘The journey is on, I have been retained by RCB. When I was contacted I had no second thoughts. It’s been an amazing journey over the years, three more years with the franchise that mean a lot to me. I believe my best is yet to come and what is going to happen next season. I have a special feeling about this.
He said, “Our fan base is amazing. The management has been amazing with me and other players. Will see me in the field today with new energy and new version. But I will be with my heart and soul for RCB. In the middle of the IPL 2021 season, Virat Kohli had announced that he would not captain the franchise in the year 2022. Talking about Virat Kohli, he was retained by RCB for Rs 15 crore. However, he has suffered a loss of Rs 2 crore. He got Rs 17 crore in IPL 2021. Maxwell has been retained for 11 crores and Mohammed Siraj for 7 crores.
